Terms & Conditions, Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17th June 2025
Below you’ll find everything you need to know about using this site and working with me:
Terms & Conditions – the rules of the site, the programmes on offer and how bookings work.
Privacy Notice – what personal information I collect, what I do with it and the rights you have.
Cookie Policy – how cookies, pixels and similar tech run here and how you can control them.
1 Terms & Conditions
1.1 Introduction
Welcome to iainmyles.com. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are the rules of the road between you—whether you’re just nosing around the articles, grabbing a free download, hopping on a discovery call or booking a full coaching package—and me, Iain Myles, the bloke who runs the site and delivers every session.
My coaching blends online resources, face‑to‑face work and real‑world practice. So these Terms cover the lot: using the website, paying the fee, what happens in‑field, and the follow‑up support you get afterwards (things like WhatsApp voice‑notes, video feedback and accountability check‑ins). They’re here to protect both of us by spelling out the scope of the service, payment and cancellation rules, confidentiality, intellectual‑property rights, liability limits and the law that applies if anything ever kicks off.
Please read them before you dive in. By browsing the site, ticking a consent box, clicking “Pay now”, signing a proposal or turning up to a session, you’re confirming you’ve read and accepted the Terms. If something doesn’t sit right, don’t use the site and don’t book coaching until we’ve cleared it up. Feel free to email info@iainmyles.com and I’ll explain in plain English.
These Terms don’t override your legal rights as a consumer under English law—they sit alongside them.
1.2 Services Offered
I offer several coaching formats:
Platinum Transformation (7 days) – a week of in‑field training with two coaches, deep‑dive theory sessions, detailed video feedback and round‑the‑clock WhatsApp coaching.
Weekend Success Bootcamp (3 days) – a mixture of classroom work and live practice over a long weekend.
Daygame Taster (1 day) – a quick introduction to approaching during the day and the core ideas that power it.
Mindset Mastery (8‑week online) – weekly video calls and CBT/NLP‑based tasks to re‑wire limiting beliefs.
Each programme is adjusted to fit your goals. The final scope sits in writing before you pay.
1.3 Availability & Locations
I coach worldwide. We agree a meeting point—either I travel to you or you travel to me—at the time of booking.
1.4 Booking, Payments & Deposits
A booking is only confirmed once the full fee or an agreed deposit lands in my account. Instalments are possible if we both agree in writing. All fees are due before the programme starts unless stated otherwise.
1.5 Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancel 14 days or more before the start date → full refund or reschedule.
Cancel between 14 and 2 days → partial refund or credit at my discretion.
Cancel within 48 hours or no‑show → no refund.
Rescheduling is free if you give 7 days’ notice; shorter notice may incur costs.
1.6 Conduct
Treat coaches, staff and the public with respect. I can remove anyone for abusive, threatening or illegal behaviour with no refund.
1.7 Confidentiality
Anything you share with me stays between us. Recordings happen only with your written consent and never get published without another explicit release.
1.8 Health & Safety
Let me know beforehand about any medical or psychological conditions that could affect training. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk.
1.9 Liability
All advice is given in good faith. Your results rely on your own actions. I’m not liable for any decisions you make or losses you incur.
1.10 Intellectual Property
All course materials remain mine. They’re for your personal use only—no copying, selling or sharing without written permission.
1.11 Changes to These Terms
I may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page; big changes will be flagged by email where possible.
1.12 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
2 Privacy Notice
2.1 Who I Am
I’m Iain Myles, a dating coach trading as a sole trader in the UK. You can reach me any time at info@iainmyles.com.
2.2 The Information I Collect
I collect information so I can coach you effectively, run the site, and meet legal duties. Depending on how you interact with me I may collect:
Contact details – name, email address, phone number and postal address.
Identity details – age range, nationality, photos and video recorded during coaching.
Transactional details – amounts paid, currency, payment method, invoice numbers and VAT details.
Technical details – IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, screen size and referring site.
Usage details – which pages you visit, how long you stay, links you click, location inferred from your IP address and search terms that bring you here.
Marketing preferences – whether you open my emails, click a link, download a guide or interact with ads on Google, Meta or LinkedIn.
You provide most of this data directly—for example when you book a call, buy a programme or fill in a coaching questionnaire. Some is collected automatically through cookies and similar tech when you browse the site. Payment details are handled by Stripe or PayPal; I never see your full card number.
2.3 Why I Use Your Information and the Legal Bases I Rely On
To deliver coaching and customer support – I need your contact and identity details so I can run the sessions, tailor advice and keep you updated. Legal basis: contract.
To process payments and keep accounts – I record transaction info for tax and book‑keeping. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
To send service communications – booking confirmations, schedule changes and programme materials. Legal basis: contract.
To send marketing emails and run remarketing ads – only if you’ve opted‑in. You can opt‑out at any time. Legal basis: consent.
To improve the site and services – analysing traffic and user behaviour helps me spot problems and develop new content. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
To keep the site secure – IP addresses are logged to detect spam and attacks. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
Where I rely on consent you’re free to say no or to withdraw it later without affecting the coaching you receive.
2.4 Remarketing and Tracking Pixels
Third‑party vendors such as Google, Meta and LinkedIn place cookies and pixels on your device once you opt‑in through the cookie banner. These trackers let me show you ads based on pages you viewed here. Google summarises it best:
"Third‑party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s past visits to this website. Visitors may opt‑out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt‑out page."
Similar opt‑out tools exist for Meta and LinkedIn. Links are provided in the cookie banner and in every marketing email.
2.5 Who I Share Your Data With
Service providers – website hosting (Squarespace), email marketing (ConvertKit), payment processing (Stripe/PayPal), video hosting (Vimeo) and analytics (Google Analytics 4). Each provider only gets the data needed to perform its service.
Advertising partners – Google Ads, Meta Ads and LinkedIn Ads, but only if you’ve allowed marketing cookies.
Professional advisers – accountants, solicitors and insurers who keep professional secrecy.
Authorities – HMRC and law‑enforcement bodies if I’m legally obliged to disclose information to them.
All providers are contractually bound to keep your data safe. When they sit outside the UK or EEA I rely on approved safeguards like the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
2.6 How Long I Keep Your Data
Client records – seven full tax years after your last session, then securely deleted.
Marketing data – kept until you unsubscribe, or after two years of complete inactivity, whichever comes first.
Cookie identifiers – stored for the period described in the Cookie Policy and, in any case, wiped once you clear cookies from your browser.
2.7 Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
Access – ask for a copy of the personal data I hold on you.
Rectification – have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
Erasure – ask me to delete your data when there’s no good reason for me to keep it.
Restriction – pause processing while a challenge is resolved.
Objection – stop processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
Portability – receive your data in a commonly‑used format so you can reuse it elsewhere.
Withdraw consent – anytime if I rely on consent.
To exercise any right email info@iainmyles.com. If you’re unhappy with my response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
2.8 Automated Decision‑Making
I don’t use automated decision‑making or profiling that produces legal effects or significantly affects you.
2.9 Keeping Your Data Safe
I follow industry good practice: HTTPS encryption, strong passwords, two‑factor authentication, regular software updates and strict internal access controls. In the unlikely event of a data breach I’ll notify the ICO and affected individuals where required by law.
2.10 Changes to This Privacy Notice
If I make material changes I’ll post a clear notice on this page and, where reasonable, email you. The date at the top always shows the latest revision.
3 Cookie Policy
3.1 What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit websites. They help sites remember things like your preferences and whether you’re logged in. Similar technologies include tracking pixels, local storage and tags—together I call them “cookies” for simplicity.
3.2 Why I Use Cookies
I use cookies to:
Make the site work – remembering choices you make and protecting forms from bots.
Measure traffic – seeing which pages get read the most so I can improve useful content.
Show you relevant ads – reminding you about programmes you viewed if you gave permission.
3.3 Categories of Cookies in Use
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site secure and let you navigate it. Without them the site won’t function properly. Examples include
crumb
and__cf_bm
. They usually expire when you close your browser or after half an hour.Analytics cookies collect anonymised stats about how visitors use the site. I rely on Google Analytics 4 which sets cookies like
_ga
(expires after two years) and_gid
(expires after 24 hours). These figures help me see what content lands well and spot broken links.Marketing cookies power remarketing ads on Google, Meta and LinkedIn. The Google cookie
IDE
lasts up to 13 months. Facebook’s_fbp
lasts 90 days. LinkedIn’sli_fat_id
lasts 90 days. They only load once you’ve said “yes” to marketing cookies.
3.4 Your Choice: Giving or Withdrawing Consent
When you first land on the site a banner explains cookie use and lets you:
Accept all non‑essential cookies.
Reject non‑essential cookies.
Dive into detailed settings if you’d like to pick and choose.
You can change your mind at any time by clicking “Cookie Settings” in the footer. Your new choice applies straight away.
3.5 Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their privacy settings. You can also use opt‑out tools provided by:
Google – Ads Settings
Meta – Ad Preferences
LinkedIn – Ad Settings
The broader Network Advertising Initiative opt‑out page
Be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
3.6 Do Not Track
Some browsers let you send a “Do Not Track” signal. At present the site doesn’t adjust behaviour when it receives such a signal, but you can still manage cookies as described above.
3.7 Third‑Party Cookies
Third‑party cookies are controlled by the third parties, not by me. I encourage you to read their policies for the finer detail. Links are included in the cookie banner and right here:
Google Privacy Policy
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Data Policy
LinkedIn Privacy Policy
3.8 Changes to This Cookie Policy
I may update this policy to reflect changes in technology, legislation or my business. Any big changes will get a prominent notice on this page. Check back now and then to stay informed.
